what's in this email: Thursday September 17, 2026 7:45 PM Greetings Thinkers, Another end of day email. When will I break this alternate routine?I thought it would be this morning, my first day back from trip. But once into my morning, I really wanted to get over to my spaces. They had gone untouched for 9 days and I was pretty anxious about what states of disorder and plant death they would be in. So I decided "what's one more day" for not morning emailing, and got headed over sooner than if I had moved the Daily Email back into the morning part of my day. What today was like: vacation hangoverweird. out of sorts. Vacation hangover seems an accurate word pair. hangover: most commonly associated with alcohol: the unpleasant physical and mental effects that remain after drinking too much alcohol, especially the following day. Things like: headache, nausea, fatigue, thirst, poor concentration, irritability, etc. But the word itself is more interesting and applies to more than a side effect of drinking. Hangover also means: something that remains or persists after the thing that caused it has ended. Vacation hangover in the positive. Now I'm thinking about how long it takes to create a new routine? I recall some bad self help book made a claim about this. Unsure if I read that one or just judged it. I claim that a few to 9 days can make a new routine because I can tell you, starting the day in the old way today, felt melancholy and I yearned for the short term routine I just came from. Waking up for sunrises and going downstairs to start my day with a Mom hug. Being barefoot all day everyday; never putting my shoes on unless I was leaving the house which I barely did. Taking Duck to the beach and seeing joy vibrate over his body. Going to the beach whenever I wanted. Looking at the ocean whenever I wanted. Watching people I love do what they wanted and enjoy BEACH. We were there long enough for it to become the norm enough that the "real norm" of today felt a little yucky. And I'm still moving into Fall... Today was the first day of FALL (for me)I looked up the first day of Fall and found this: The official first day of Fall is September 22. That's astronomical fall because it marks the autumnal equinox, which is the precise moment when the center of the Sun aligns directly above the Earth's equator. Meteorological Fall starts on September 1 each year. That's when weather people consider it Fall based on temperature changes and cycles to compare climate records. The first day of Fall for Kymology is whenever she gets back from the Annual Grove Family Beach trip. Which means this year, the first day of Fall fell on a Thursday, 17 days into September. And now I'm thinking : how is it already half way through September?! I'd say time is flyin' but that's such a silly, redundant thing to say, so I will refrain. recall: by the end of the email, it will be Fallthat was last night. this is tonight. what will I count next? And what does this have to do with you today? πΊ KG βAll the emails in a list β standouts / other thoughtsOur night is winding down. Mismatched shoes is a me thing; it is not a mistake I walked out the door with.
Watching a dog run on the beach is one of the purest sights of happiness I know.
I was not a whiskey drinker. I don't know when I become a whiskey drinker. I have hated whiskey and all dark liquor all my life. Now I drink old fashioneds. Who have I become?
You will often find me "wrapping my head around that good thought"
vague. I don't like vague. don't be vague with me, I won't be vague with you. at least not on purpose.

Reflecting on my life whether it's looking back at the last month or doing a "this time last year" thing, shorter or longer time frames, doing this at all is a reflection of who I am. That I care to consider who I am, who I have been, what I have done, so that I may use all of that to inform what I do and who I am in the present and the future. That I reflect is a reflection of who I am.

I love a good double negative!
Plan in quotes because I'm so averse to "plans" and "goals".
I chunk out my days, to the minute, in Gcal.
I love to putter so if it becomes "I puttered my life away" so be it.
I'm not a cherry picker, of anything. I like to use things that exist rather than start from new or scratch.
I am an ostrich about politics, news, current events, pop culture and media.
I dislike clichΓ©s and most positive quotes, under thought things meant well, commonly said quotes and phrases.
Don't tell me what to do, don't ask me "how how are you?" or say "I'm sorry for your loss" unless you want to annoy me or you really, really mean it. And know it can be hard to tell which it is, and I'm wrong not infrequently.
30 Day Challenges are my thing. I have a tendency to make things every day things. This is where 30 Day Challenges come from!
Like yourself. Know yourself. Express that self.
Think about things. Don't feel like you have to dance in the rain to have a good life.
Don't have a plan. Stand for what matters. Read when you want to. Don't smile when people tell you to.
Don't have goal. Tend plants. Leave marks. Do what you say. Change YOUR world. And your mind!
Be a friend and a daughter and a partner and a sister and a dog mom.
In a world full of "accept who you are" messages, don't forget to be a "work on that" kind of person.
Don't put kindness above truth. Try new things. Be honest. Live by ideals. Have some whimsy.
What you do for money matters; strive to like what you do for money. (job)
If you have a hobby you need a life.
Use what attracts you and let what you care about matter!
Peepers are my favorite sound.
Triangles are my favorite shape.
54 is my number.
I never need to talk but thank you for offering to listen.
If you say I'm overthinking it, I'll probably say you are underthinkig it.
why I do what I do: I want to "make you" THINK. I don't mind if your experience and perception of me "makes you" be more mindful, use your brain more, "think too much" or consider something more carefully, or differently, or moves you to be (more) thoughtful or intentional or authentic.
I am a hugger and I mean my hugs.
I don't like to have scheduled things. The days where I have something scheduled are a certain category of feeling. I'm not very fond of pre sign ups, committing to things in advance externally. My favorite days are the ones I call "blank slate days". Nothing scheduled, nothing formally EXTERNALLY committed (I am full of internal commitment and ideas all the time, so no day is truly uncommitted).

I love rules and I am a ruler follower.
I like a cup to fill.
So which is it Kym. Do you like wide open clean slate no commitment things?
Or you "need" want and thrive in containers, defined spaces, rules and limits?

what's in this email: the bad eggs fall away maybe it really is time to SLOW DOWN like the signs say Tuesday September 22,, 2026 9 AM Greetings you Thinkers, You know how I do the "monthly recaps"? Reviewing the month, seeing what stands out, what I did, what I said, themes and thoughts, and then I put all of that into one write, one email. Well I did that for running with turtles and slowing down this morning because I think that topic has come to a head. I think it's time to actually do it....
what's in this email: a good feeling to keep you away from bad stuff Monday September 21, 2026 10 AM Greetings you Thinkers, Monday, new week, post mid September, Fall. What's in the bag of this time of life? Duck is still sick. Coughing and hacking and retching, sneezing. It's weird to see a dog have a cold. Wiping his snotty nose... And I am worried and concerned and thinking about if and when to take him to the vet along with all my stuff of medical system resistance. Do we really need to...
