what's in this email:Greetings Thinkers, New month on a Full Moon! What a line up! Yesterday was a doozy. I went to my Mom's to take care of my sister while she went out to take care of some things. Errands. We are in TOTAL CARE mode more than my sister was already TOTAL CARE. And my Mom is doing A LOT. The not enough, not doing enough feeling is definitely up for me. I said this to a reader just this morning actually, in response to that "never enough" thing that I think we all deal with at times. "Thinking of what we're doing, if we're doing good (or enough) is a never ending thought, I think. So it's not to NOT think about it, it's to have better quality thoughts about it, I think." Enough is a big project! where did April Fools come from?April Fools is a child's holiday. I recall the first time I was made aware that April Fools was a thing. I'm not even sure it was actually April. My older cooler cousin's were just getting me hip to the thing of playing pranks. Such a thing had never occurred to me. We put Saran Wrap and lotion on the toilet seat, our mom's bras in the freezer, sand in their shoes, string across their doorways in the mornings for their wake ups, replaced half the milk in the jug with water. God it all sounds awful. How pissed I would be if this was done to me. These were cousins we always visited in the summer, so I can't even imagine it was actually April Fools Day. Just a day in July where they were teaching me these ropes and we were wreaking havoc on our poor folks. I remember tracking all the booby traps, waiting anxiously for the next poor soul to run into one and yell out with surprise. Heaven forbid they go to the bathroom and not come out proclaiming about whatever had happened to them in there, via the clever trick we left for them. If they didn't come out showing their experience, then we'd be running in to see what failed. I remember going home and continuing these pranks as a short lived norm. My parents nipped that in the bud real quick. NO it is not okay to put lotion on the toilet seat and moms nice bras in the freezer just because you think it's funny. Later on April Fools was pretty much just an opportunity to tell a lie and then declare just kidding later. The most I recall doing this was in high school relationships. FEIGN a break up and then a "JUST KIDDING"! April Fools died off for me after that. Just not the kind of holiday I found interesting, funny, or useful. Recall I'm not funny and I don't like sarcasm and insincerity = very not my holiday. so what's the origin of April Fools Day? I popped in a Google search and so far I have 2 frustrating experiences of clicking on a link that looks good and hitting a pay wall or a must give your email thing. GUH back to that crap! Here's what I've pieced: a French reference - a poisson d'avril (April fool, literally "April's fish") and there seems be a lot of ideas about where it could have come from and references as old as the 1500s!!! I have a friend whose birthday is April 1, today (happy birthday again Emily if you're here!) and I've been thinking - gosh I bet it was horrible as a child with a birthday on April Fools. Was the relenting joke - "it's not really your birthday" and it was further just over shadowed with all the pranks? I wonder. I bet she has stories. I'll have to ask her. Also goes with March - life was life-ing! How did I forget to put that on the Things to Remember about March list?! Energy to you, you fool! 🔺 KG PS Full Moons are for illuminations and "letting go". If you want to use the energy, there's some symbolism for ya! That list of emails to date is nice standouts / other thoughtscurrently (NOT) reading:Books:

Everyone's nothing is different. is it worth it, is it worth it, is it worth it - saying this to everything! YES YOU CAN SHARE THIS Things you could know about me:I'm not a cherry picker of anything. I like to use things that exist rather than start from new or scratch. I am typically an ostrich about politics, news, current events, pop culture and media. I dislike under thought things like cliches and commonly said quotes and phrases. Don't tell me what to do, or say "how how are you?" or "I'm sorry for your loss" unless you want to annoy me or you really, really mean it. And know it can be hard to tell which it is, and I'm wrong not infrequently. I have a tendency to make things every day things. This is where 30 Day Challenges come from! Like yourself. Know yourself. Express that self. Peepers are my favorite sound. Triangle is my favorite shape. 54 is my number. I never need to talk. If you say I'm overthinking it, I'll probably say you are underthinkig it. why I do what I do:to "make you" THINK. I don't mind if your experience and perception of me "makes you" be more mindful, use your brain more, "think too much" or consider something more carefully, or differently, or moves you to be (more) thoughtful or intentional or authentic. All of these things are reasons why I do what I do and why I am the way I am. I consider these things good things, so if I'm the catalyst for anything like this, so far I think that's a good thing.
