what's in this email:Greetings Thinkers, Monday. New week, at least for those who start their weeks on Mondays. Sunday week starters are weirdos. Almost the end of another month. Time for - "what do you want to remember about March". I didn't wake up mad about sleeping horribly today. Yesterday was a busy day. They rarely aren't busy, so what's the point in saying that? I was wrong about the "don't be mad" guy. He wasn't startled or offended. He was an outlier to what I had experienced and therefore my assumption about what his reaction would be, was off. It was a great reminder to expect the unexpected. I said "Don't tell me what to do" and he replied back with the same - "Don't tell me what to do" with a smiley face. I never got a response like that before! After reading my write about it, he said he took my reply as playful, not anger. And I said it wasn't playful or angry, it was authentic. It was a good exchange and I'm glad I didn't avoid it from the start. A short today. Maybe short isn't beyond me after all! Energy to you. πΊ KG βThat list of emails to date is niceβ standouts / other thoughtsa reminder to be "careful" about what you let yourself see? word of the dayteetotaling: the word app said this word meant: choosing not to drink alcohol. on looking it up in another word app it says: teetotalism history: "The term originated in the early 19th century during the temperance movement, which advocated for the reduction or complete elimination of alcohol consumption. The word βteetotalβ is thought to have come from the practice of signing a pledge to avoid alcohol, with the βTβ symbolizing total abstinence." I was wondering where the "tee" part came from... use it: Maybe I should teetotal. Everyone's nothing is different. is it worth it, is it worth it, is it worth it - saying this to everything! YES YOU CAN SHARE THISβ Things you could know about me:I'm not a cherry picker of anything. I like to use things that exist rather than start from new or scratch. I am typically an ostrich about politics, news, current events, pop culture and media. I dislike under thought things like cliches and commonly said quotes and phrases. Don't tell me what to do, or say "how how are you?" or "I'm sorry for your loss" unless you want to annoy me or you really, really mean it. And know it can be hard to tell which it is, and I'm wrong not infrequently. I have a tendency to make things every day things. This is where 30 Day Challenges come from! Like yourself. Know yourself. Express that self. Peepers are my favorite sound. Triangle is my favorite shape. 54 is my number. I never need to talk. If you say I'm overthinking it, I'll probably say you are underthinkig it. why I do what I do:to "make you" THINK. I don't mind if your experience and perception of me "makes you" be more mindful, use your brain more, "think too much" or consider something more carefully, or differently, or moves you to be (more) thoughtful or intentional or authentic. All of these things are reasons why I do what I do and why I am the way I am. I consider these things good things, so if I'm the catalyst for anything like this, so far I think that's a good thing. what's in this email: what today? as a organizing life question You need the thing you don't have in order to get the thing you want to have? "You can't fill from an empty cup." Seems you can't empty a cup either without another empty cup! Greetings Thinkers, In Morning Pages this morning I asked "what today?". This line is a regular appearance in my SOC writing. What today is like what are you doing today, what do you want to to today, what do you have to to today, what do you "need" to do...
what's in this email: Greetings Thinkers, New month on a Full Moon! What a line up! Yesterday was a doozy. I went to my Mom's to take care of my sister while she went out to take care of some things. Errands. We are in TOTAL CARE mode more than my sister was already TOTAL CARE. And my Mom is doing A LOT. The not enough, not doing enough feeling is definitely up for me. I said this to a reader just this morning actually, in response to that "never enough" thing that I think we all deal with at...
